paint thinners and solvents to use with your wall painting ideas. Mineral spirit’s the first thinner on the list has the least amount of strength MEK has the highest.
1.) MINERAL SPIRITS.
When doing wall painting ideas and other projects mineral spirits can be used as a cleaner. It also works well to thin most alkyd and oil based paints. Mineral spirits have a slow evaporation rate.
2.) BUTYL CELLO SOLVE.
Added to lacquers for implementing anti-blush properties. ButylCello solve has a very slow evaporation rate.
For industrial paint use, TS28 is a high solvency and has a low evaporation rate.
4.) LOW ODOR MINERAL SPIRITS.
Low Odor Mineral Spirits like regular mineral spirits are best used in alkyd or oil based paints. The difference between the
two when used to do wall painting ideas and projects would be the low odors slower evaporation rate.
5.) PETROLEUM NAPHTHA.
Used with industrial enamels and primers having a very fast evaporation rate.
6.) XYLENE NAPHTHA.
Xylene Naphtha is a reducer used for quick drying speed enamels.
Industrial enamels and primers use Xylene as a solvent due to its moderate evaporation rate.
Toluene when used in products that will be applied to wall painting ideas or other projects will work best with industrial
enamels and primers containing high solvency and has a somewhat faster evaporation rate than Xylene.
9.) All PURPOSE LACQUER.
Fast evaporation rate usually used for cleaning purposes.
11.) PREMIUM LACQUER
Premium lacquer thinner is used to thin lacquer, has a high solvency, moderate evaporation rate and excellent anti blushing
10.) METHYL HYDRATE.
Wall painting ideas and other projects using concrete sealer, shellac, weldable primer, and smoke seal, are usually made with Methyl Hydrate. It also has a high evaporation rate.
Isopropanol has a fast evaporation rate for inorganic zincs, vinyl washes and primers.
12.) METHYL ETHYL KEYTONE (MEK).
Methyl Ethyl Keytone is used in epoxy paints, mastics, and weldable primers.
